Q: Are you a Guru? Do you consider yourself a Guru, and is there a lineage behind the Hamsa organization?

A: I will tell you what a Guru is because that word necessitated an exposition, because in the United States, Yog is totally misunderstood, which I explained to you that it is total fusion of God. The other word which is very grossly misunderstood is Guru. There’s a computer guru. There’s, there’s a car guru. There’s a sex guru. There’s a money guru… and there’s a political guru, but there’s no guru guru, because they don’t know what the word guru is…you know. There’s a mantra for the headache. There’s a mantra for money. There’s a mantra for, uh, well-being. There’s a mantra for material profit. There’s a mantra for politicians. There’s a mantra to get a good girl. There’s a mantra to get a good boy, but there’s no mantra for God. So you see how we’ve missed the mark totally. So I need to clarify before I say I am a Guru. No I am not a Guru and I, today I project myself as a servant of humanity. I am a server of humanity. You are my Gods. I leave nothing in the dark. I leave nothing for suspicion of blind belief. Here’s the Gods (pointing to crowd). Here’s the server (pointing to himself). I serve you as my larger self. And we have a lineage. We also have a mission statement. Listen to the mission statement, then I’ll explain what Guru is. We the Hamsas are meditated to the furthering of human awareness. That’s what you all are with me. Hamsa means soul. That means all of you. We the Hamsas are meditated to the furthering of human awareness. We the Hamsas are dedicated to serving humanity as our larger self. And we the Hamsas… are devoted to new life awakening for earth peace healing through self-peace healing. Be still and feel what I said, and like it if you like it. This does not give any smell of any religion or cult or creed. It’s odorless. It’s all about you. So this is what we are all about. This is the mission statement. If you like this mission statement and have something better to add, we can consider adding it. I thought these three things were very important for spiritual growth, and it takes us to be one family and one humanity and not a Christian or Muslim or priest or a Buddhist…you know. We don’t want to be that. And especially and know sincere seekers want to get off all these trappings, although we are bound and cluttered by faiths. We are stuck to a certain faith or denomination or certain idiosynchrocies. I just want you to, want you to release the belt, get off your fetters and make you breathe more freely, and fill yourself with the breath of God until you can take flight. I’m all about flight. I’m not the Guru that you understand me to be. I’m a servant of humanity. I’m here to serve you as my larger self.

Guru. What does the word Guru mean? The word Guru comes from two words, Gu-hya and Ru-ha. Gu-hya means the occult, hidden, spiritual essence. The spiritual essence embedded deep. And..Ru-ha means the soul, the spirit of your soul, the divine sacred spirit of your soul, and Guru together means gravity, the spiritually weighty one, who by the virtue of his spiritual gravity can unravel the spiritual truth within your souls and bring it to fullest expression. That master who can bring your spiritual essence to its fullest flowering is called a Guru. Anyone need any other explanation? Is it quite clear? See what a taboo the word guru was? It was a disgrace and I have told you the true meaning of Guru. So this meaning of Guru would be on the youtube. You can get it again and again and again, note it down and know that this word is the most sacred and wonderful word in the whole of the human language. It needs to be revered and respected. If you say Guru, O Gurunath, Om Guru, it’s as sacred as saying God. As a matter of fact, God has become more blahze. It’s fallen into disgrace. God damn it. Where the …? You know you use God for all other things. So also Guru has been abused. Maybe because some pseudo-gurus came and they, because of them the word fell into disrepute, but this does not alter the truth, the meaning of the word Guru is very, very sacred. That’s why when it was asked before, ”Are you a Guru?” I have to explain the word, but I’d be satisfied to be a servant of humanity. It’s too great a word to be…It’s too great a word to be…The Krishna is a Guru, the Buddha is the Sat Guru, the Krishna is the Sat Guru, the Christ is the Sat Guru. Even Jesus had a tough time being a Guru. So, if I am able to bring forth spiritual progress by giving you the practice of Kriya Yog and by the virtue of the experience I give you and the guidance I give you then yes, I am a Guru, who brings forth the spiritual flowering from the depth of your own consciousness. If I am successful and am able to make you, enable you to express the divinity within you, yes, I am a Guru. Gu-hya Ru-ha. Gu-hya means the secret, the occult, the hidden essence. Ru-ha means the divine soul, the hidden essence of the divine soul. When that is brought forward by the virtue of spiritual gravity, where the Guru dies into you, breaks down…The Guru is gravity. He is so intense and has such important gravity in his presence that he breaks down in your mind the space-time continuum. He breaks down the psychological time in your mind, and when the psychological time is broken down in your mind, all your worries and cares and all your karma also dissolves, because when time is chopped up into nights and days and hours and minutes and seconds that’s where the trouble begins, the rationing of time. It brings out the chopping of moments, so you cannot be in the presence because the chopping of moments. When the space-time continuum is broken down, you enter a state of God-Bliss. There is no space, nor time, only God is. And if the Guru can take you along with him on this flight, the Swan can take you, the Great Swan can take you under his wing and fly with you into the realms of God-Bliss, yes, He is a Guru. How glorious? Nobody else does this. And yet the sacred word has fallen into disrepute. I am sad. But I am happy today; I have explained the word Guru, the one with the spiritual gravity, he who can call forth, he who can expose the divinity within you, by the virtue of his gravity, by the virtue of his Shaktipat, Shivapat, and Pranapat…He is the True Guru.
